Selected through a nationwide tryout, the squad—born no later than 2007—will join the U19 exhibition event tied to the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2026, organized by German powerhouse Alba Berlin. The trip, fully funded by Imma Do Great Basketball and its sponsors, marks a major milestone for youth development in Indonesian women’s basketball.
The selection process, held on August 8–9, 2026, at Agora Sports Hall in Jakarta, drew 50 aspiring athletes from multiple provinces, all vying for one of just 12 spots. Among the evaluators were veteran coach Johannis Winar and Abraham Grahita, a three-time Indonesian MVP, whose expertise helped shape the final roster. Following selection, the chosen players will undergo an eight-day training camp at Agora Sports Hall and ROAR Performance Center to prepare for the high-level competition.
Krishna Juwono, Head of Operation at Imma Do Great Basketball, confirmed the partnership with Alba Berlin as the catalyst for this initiative. “We’ve built a development collaboration with one of Germany’s top clubs, and this tournament is a direct result of that relationship,” he said. “This isn’t just about playing abroad—it’s about exposing our young talents to elite systems, culture, and competition.”
